Chicopee Selects Connecticut Educator To Run School System

Chicopee has finally picked a new school superintendent.

A Windham Connecticut School administrator Doctor Marcus Ware has been tapped to be the new school boss- succeeding Lynn Clarke who resigned after being indicted on federal charges of lying to investigators. Now contract negotiations have to begin..

Dr Ware was selected from among three finalists for the post.

" I am thrilled to have been nominated and I am honored at the opportunity to lead the district." Dr Ware told us in a statement.

He has been a principal but most recently with the Windham Public School system he is the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives.

He holds a Doctorate from the University of Hartford in educational leadership and administration.

He has a degree in Meteorology and a Master's Degree in Special Education and Counseling.
