State Rep Ramos Running For Springfield Mayor

Springfield State Representative Orlando Ramos has officially announced his campaign for mayor of the city.

Ramos, a frequent critic of the current mayor says he is running because Springfield needs fresh ideas to return to the days where it was an innovation leader.

He pointed to his days on the Springfield City Council where he was instrumental in fighting illegal dirt bikes and getting property taxes lowered for seniors.

As Mayor he says that he will be accountable only to the voter and to focus on making the city affordable.

There are now four people in the race for mayor in Springfield. Three of them are on the city council.

Mayor Dom Sarno is fundraising but has not officially announced whether he is running for re-election.
