Springfield is under a Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The weather service is forecasting up to six inches of snow for the city.
Besides the snow- we will may also have to deal with wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour in some parts of the area.
Other parts of Western Massachusetts are under a Winter Storm Warning.
A foot of snow could fall between Greenfield and Fitchburg.
