Another good week for the Springfield Thunderbirds as they won their sixth home game in a row before a sellout crowd beating the Laval Rocket 5 to 2. The game featured the annual Pink in the Rink night with proceeds going to the Rays of Hope.
The Thunderbirds got three goals from Martin Frk, combined with tallies from Austin Osmanski and Hugh McGing and continued steady goaltending, this time from Joel Hofer.
The Thunderbirds have some time off to rest. They will be in Hartford on Friday night for another showdown with the Wolfpack. Then Springfield comes home for a Saturday tilt against Providence, their last home game of the month, before hitting the road for Providence on Sunday, March 18, the start of a seven game road trip over three weeks.
