As of 10 this morning there are more than 75 thousand customers of various electric companies without any service right now. In Western Mass Eversource reports 24 thousand customers without any power. There is no indication as to when it might return.
Agawam is down to less than a thousand customers without any power. That is down from about 14 hundred at the start.
Longmeadow 482 customers.
Southwick 11 hundred customers.
Springfield about 275 customers.
It is unclear how long they will be out. It might have a lot to do with the amount of wind we get. The forecast calls for gusts to 35 miles per hour.
There are hundreds of plows working to keep highways and roads open.
The Mass Department of Transportation is asking drivers to give their plows room, regardless if it is highway or local travel.
There have many numerous spin out accidents throughout the area.
On route 202 in Westfield - a PVTA bus got stuck for a time this morning. There were no issues reported because of it.
