A man is facing charges for allegedly causing the death of his child in Berkshire County.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, Darel Galorenzo of Readsboro, Vermont fled the scene of an auto crash overnight Saturday in Clarksburg.
He apparently lost his two-year-old son in a brook.
A trooper reportedly administered emergency first-aid for drowning injuries, but the child later died at a hospital.
Galorenzo is charged with manslaughter, reckless child endangerment, and OUI.
More details are expected at the arraignment set for later today.
