The Easthampton School Committee is moving forward with a new superintendent choice.
The board voted last night to offer the job to Dr. Erica Faginski-Stark, the director of curriculum and instruction at Ludlow Public Schools.
Faginski-Stark accepted and she will enter contract negotiations.
Controversy was created when the board rescinded its previous offer to Vito Perrone, the interim superintendent of the West Springfield school district, after he emailed school board chair Cynthia Kwiecinski and another official using the term "ladies."
Kwiecinski said most board members believed the comment was inappropriate, and that was on top of other concerns.
Dr Perrone has not commented.
