Springfield State Senator Adam Gomez is expected to be released from a Boston hospital later today after undergoing what was described as "emergency kidney transplant."
His office says the 39 year old Senator is doing well and will be working from home for the next three months while in quarantine.
He will complete his legislative work remotely.
His staff says the senator is already writing memos to staff about issues that he is working on.
