Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno is announcing a run for re-election.
Sarno first assumed office in 2008 and is the longest-serving mayor in Springfield history.
Sarno, a Democrat, is facing several challengers, including former city councilor Orlando Ramos, who is now a state representative, current city councilors Justin Hurst and Jesse Lederman, and Dr. David Ciampi, who works as a psychotherapist.
