Springfield Man Indicted For Holyoke Murder

A Springfield man has been indicted for first-degree murder.

Kenneth Santana-Rodriguez was arraigned yesterday and held without bail for the fatal shooting of Michael Tran back in January.

Tran was shot at the hair and nail salon where he worked at the Holyoke Mall.

Rodriguez-Santana told police he and his girlfriend were getting pedicures when they were confronted by her ex who was armed.

Rodriguez-Santana was licensed to carry, and claimed he accidentally killed Tran while firing in self-defense.
