Red Sox Win- But May Lose Sale Due To Injury

The Red Sox salvaged their series finale against the Reds after blowing out Cincinnati 8-2 at Fenway Park.

Chris Sale started the game and struck out six batters before leaving with two outs in the fourth inning due to injury.

Chris Martin was credited with his first win of the season after allowing one run in an inning of relief.

Kike Hernandez and Connor Wong each went deep in the win for Boston, which is now last in the AL East at 29-and-27.

Kevin Herget was charged with the loss after allowing six runs over an inning of relief.

Kevin Newman and Matt McLain each drove in a run for Cincinnati, which is third in the NL Central at 26-and-30.

The Red Sox are still at home. They take on Tampa Bay tonight.
