MA, CT Feature High Prices For Energy--How High?

A new Wallet Hub survey has residents of Massachusetts spending more on electricity that people in most other states. 

Factors include monthly electricity, natural gas, fuel and house heating costs.

Massachusetts was fifth most expensive at 589 dollars a month. 

Connecticut was fourth at 593 dollars a month.

Rhode Island was 15th at 526 dollars a month.

Wyoming is the most expensive in the nation with a monthly bill of $845.

The District of Columbia has the cheapest rates at $274 total energy costs.
