Bill Would Grant Jobless Benefits To Strikers

A bill on Beacon Hill would allow rank and file workers who go out on strike to be eligible to collect unemployment benefits if their strike is for 30 days or more.

State Rep Lindsey Sabadosa says that the bill is designed to ensure that bargaining is fair and balanced.

The bill and a similar one filed by Senator Paul Feeney made it to the Ways and Means Committee last year, but they elected to take no action.

We are still waiting on a legislative hearing date.
