Federal Charges Brought Against DJ Hernandez

D.J. Hernandez, the brother of the late New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, is now facing federal charges related to alleged threats to carry out school shootings.

The Department of Justice says Hernandez threatened to shoot up the University of Connecticut and three individuals who lived outside of the state.

Hernandez was arrested last month for allegedly plotting shootings at UConn and Brown University.

He was also charged earlier this year with vandalizing the headquarters of ESPN.

Aaron Hernandez was convicted in the murder of a semi-professional football player in 2015, and then killed himself in his prison cell two years later.
