Western Mass Mayors are speaking out on Governor Healey's State of Emergency declaration over housing for immigrants who come across the border.
Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno says he is glad to work with Governor Healey on ways to house immigrants, but he says that Springfield Residents who have housing needs will be his number one priority.
West Springfield Mayor William Reichelt says that he has done all he can to help, but that bigger cities throughout the state need to share the burden.
Governor Healey issued a State of Emergency Declaration which will allow the state to seek financial help from the state.
