Springfield and Ludlow residents are under a water boil order.
A major water main break happened as a result of Monday's storms near St. James Avenue in Springfield.
Officials are hoping to have this fixed by Thursday.
Classes are canceled Wednesday in the Springfield School District, while Ludlow students are being told to bring their own drinking water.
Springfield officials say any water that is used for consumption should be boiled- and the order applies to businesses as well as residents.
