Hartford Mayor: City Will Be Transparent In Fatal Officer Involved Shooting

A man who reportedly opened fire at Hartford Police was shot and killed by an officer.

The incident happened in the area of Barbour and Westland streets yesterday afternoon.

Police say the suspect was in a vehicle that had been the subject of a 911 call earlier in the day over a weapon being shown at a car dealership.

The suspect and the officers involved have not been identified, and the state Inspector General's office is investigating.
