E-L Police: Be Alert For Coyote Sightings In Town

East Longmeadow Police have issued an advisory after a resident reported being chased by two coyotes.

The man reported he was walking his dog Saturday night near Birchland Park Middle and Mapleshade Elementary Schools when the two animals followed them back home.

The Urban Coyote Preservation Project says attacks on humans are known to occur, but the threat can be minimized.

Residents are urged to eliminate food sources on their properties and keep pets restrained.
