The city of Holyoke has honored a police officer with top honors for his service.
Detective Liam Glasheen was named the city's Public Safety Officer of the Year on Saturday, during Veteran's Day ceremonies. Glasheen, who is also an Air Force veteran has been battling cancer for the past several months.
Speaking to the assembled, Glasheen credited his family, colleagues, and friends for keeping him going.
