Governor's Grant Program Aims At Reducing Hate

Governor Maura Healey has announced a statewide initiative to confront hate crimes in Massachusetts.

The Hate Crimes Awareness and Response Team will work in conjunction with the State Police to track hate crimes and respond to incidents.

The Anti-Defamation League recently reported that hate crimes in the state rose over 30 percent between 2021 and 2022.

Among the winners of grants was the Granby School system.

The Governor says through better education initiatives hate can be reduced statewide.
