A Springfield community is getting a makeover.
The city received five-hundred-thousand dollars from the Healy-Driscoll Administration earlier today to put toward renovations for Harriet Tubman Park.
It's one of six parks on the more than two-mile Springfield Legacy Trail that connects the Six Corners and Old Hill neighborhoods.
Officials say the money will help increase public access, improve playground equipment, and provide other new amenities.
The project is expected to get underway next July.
