Holiday travelers are already moving out in the days leading up to Christmas. Analysts say December 25th could be the second-busiest for travel since 2000.
The heaviest travel days on the road are anticipated to be between this Saturday and Thursday, December 28th.
Triple-A estimates more than 115 million people are expected to travel between now and New Year's Day.
Gas prices are about 16 cents per gallon cheaper than they were at this time last year, averaging 3-dollars-25-cents per gallon for regular unleaded.
