A 30-year-old Springfield man is facing multiple charges after pointing a ghost gun at a police officer this morning.
Authorities said Joseph Morales-DeJesus pointed the gun around 1 a.m. Wednesday before he complied with orders to drop the weapon.
It happened in an apartment where police were doing a follow-up investigation connected to a domestic assault that involved a gun.
Meantime, Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno is repeating calls for tougher bail reforms to insure that repeat offenders don't commit more crimes.
State Lawmakers have been dealing with that issue for several sessions without a positive result.
