Many people are preparing for the anticipated snowstorm this weekend in western Massachusetts.
Snow is expected to overspread the area Saturday night and continue into Sunday.
Numerous people spent Thursday night grocery shopping.
The Red Cross is advising residents to stock up on drinking water, canned fruit, nuts, and high-energy snacks.
As far as the storm itself it is expected to begin sometime between 7 and 10PM on Saturday and conclude sometime by Sunday afternoon.
Accumulations expected in the neighborhood of between 5 and 10 inches.
There is also a second storm expected that is going to hit early next week- but that is expected to be a rain event.
