Influential rapper and actor Ice Cube will be honored at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield this weekend.
A former player and member of the seminal hip-hop group N.W.A., Ice Cube is also co-founder of BIG3, the popular 3-on-3 summer basketball league.
He will be honored Sunday with an Impact Award that bears his name, for his commitment to the sport and to improving communities.
The award will be given during the Spalding HoopHall Classic being held at Springfield College.
