Residents Want Farmland Protections

Dozens of residents turned out to Westfield's Planning Board meeting Tuesday evening to voice concerns over plans for a major warehouse.

The Falcon Landing project is envisioned for 126 acres of land between Falcon Drive and Route 202, also known as North Road.

The general distribution facility would host approximately 360 parking spaces and 320 trailer spots.

Residents expressed concerns about the location, noting the roadway is not designed for such traffic, and added congestion will only make travel in the area more difficult.

There is no tenant at this time for the warehouse, but construction is expected to go ahead, pending official approval.
