Dems, GOP Differ On State Of The Union

President Biden is declaring the state of the union is strong and getting stronger. In his third State of the Union address Thursday night as the President laid out his vision for the nation as he heads into another general election campaign.

Springfield Congressman Richard Neal liked the tone and the substance of the Presidential Address.

“Fifteen months into the most unproductive Congress in decades, Republicans are only focused on dismantling our achievements and doubling down on their unpopular, extreme policies. Democrats’ vision for America is different: one of progress and potential. We believe in what the people can accomplish when no one is left behind. Ways and Means Democrats will give families more breathing room by expanding the Child Tax Credit, lowering health care costs by permanently extending enhanced premium tax credits, and keeping our economy growing from the middle-out and bottom-up by overcoming corporate greed and giving every worker a fair shot.

The rebuttal of President Biden's State of the Union was done by GOP Alabama Senator Katie Britt. While speaking from Montgomery, she said Americans deserve a leader who isn't "dithering and diminished."
