The Springfield Thunderbirds will again raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research this weekend, with its "Pink in the Rink" night.
The American Hockey League club is partnering with Rays of Hope for the seventh time.
The T-Birds will play on a pink ice surface and wear special pink jerseys on Saturday when they host the Toronto Marlies.
Last year's event raised nearly 25 thousand dollars for Rays of Hope.
More than a hundred breast cancer survivors will take to the ice before the game.
Faceoff is set for 7 pm.
Besides the Saturday night game against the Marlies, the weekend kicks off with a rematch of last weekend's game against Bridgeport.
It concludes with a 3pm Sunday game in Providence.
