Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that took place Monday afternoon at the Springfield High School of Science and Technology.
A large disturbance had broken out in the sports complex section of the school just after 2 pm, and a shot was fired by one of those involved.
The bullet went through a window, but no one was hurt.
The shooter remains at large and is believed to have been let into the school through a security door.
Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno says he was stunned by the brazen violence. He says the students who opened the locked security door will be disciplined.
Meantime Police are still investigating.
