Revenge Porn Bill Heads To Conference Committee After Senate Vote

The state Senate has approved a bill that would ban so called revenge porn.

The measure makes it illegal for a person to share or post intimate photos or videos of another online without their permission.

The revenge porn ban passed by the House in January has some differences from the Senate bill passed yesterday, and those will have to be worked out in a conference committee.

Both bills also include language banning fake pornography depicting a real person but created by AI.

Massachusetts is one of only two states that have no such law.

South Carolina is the other.
