Fifty-two-year-old Jason Chapdelaine was arraigned today on a charge of murder in Holyoke District Court and ordered held without bail.
A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf and his next court date is next month.
Chapdelaine allegedly killed 48-year-old Eileen Monaghan of Chicopee early Sunday Monday.
Monaghan worked in the Hampden County Sheriff's Office, Chapdelaine is a Holyoke firefighter who is on unpaid leave following his arrest.
