First responders testified about their observations in the trial of Karen Read, charged in the death of her Boston cop boyfriend John O'Keefe.
A firefighter in the town of Canton testified yesterday that he heard Read say that she hit O'Keefe after responding to the scene that morning in January of 2022.
The defense pointed out that the firefighter did not mention that observation to anyone until over a week after O'Keefe's death.
The second degree murder trial is off today because of Law Day, with testimony scheduled to resume tomorrow in Dedham.
