Residents in Agawam are being advised that a cat that lived in the area of King Street tested positive for rabies.
The Siamese cat tested positive on Tuesday and anyone who was in contact with the animal between April 19th and April 29th is asked to contact the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
If a pet had contact with the cat, you should call Agawam Animal Control or your veterinarian.
