Three federal prisoners accused of killing Whitey Bulger in a West Virginia prison have reached a plea agreement.
Fotios Geas of Springfield, Paul DeCologero and Sean McKinnon are accused of beating the 89-year-old Boston gangster to death in 2018.
Details of the plea deal have not been released, but prosecutors say the men will plead guilty and be sentenced at the same time.
Bulger was beaten to death hours after he arrived at the federal prison in Hazelton, West Virginia in October of 2018.
The federal Inspector General says six federal prison workers will be disciplined for a situation that should have never happened.
