Former Golf Pro Sentenced For Skimming Funds

A former golf professional, who worked at Springfield-owned courses has been sentenced for tax fraud.

Thirty-two-year-old Ryan McDowell received 12 months of probation and he must pay more than 101-thousand-dollars in restitution to the city and just over 34-thousand-dollars to the IRS.

McDowell pleaded guilty to six counts of tax fraud in 2018 for skimming golf revenues and filing false tax returns.
