A man in this country illegally has been arrested in Northampton on charges that he allegedly raped a minor in his home country.
The man, from Ecuador was arrested June 12 according to a statement this week from federal officials.
A spokesman for ICE says the suspect posed a serious threat to the children of the greater Northampton area.
Officials tell us the man was arrested after crossing the border June4th but was released a short time later.
