Low Bail For Springfield Schools Security Guard On Gun Charges

Another bail controversy in Springfield where a man accused of trafficking guns gets a low bail.

And, the judge had a reason.

After a months long investigation 44 year old Pablo Correa was arrested for trafficking guns from his home.

At his arraignment - prosecutors asked for 50 thousand dollars bail.

But the judge cut that to 10 grand saying that the defendant had a good employment record.

The job he had was as a school security guard in Springfield Schools.

The whole issue has energized Mayor Dom Sarno to call on lawmakers to quit slow walking bail reform legislation....while the Hampden County DA Anthony Gulluni says although frustrated with the decision- law enforcement will continue to take violent offenders off the street.
