Yankees Take Two Out Of Three Against Sox

The New York Yankees trounced the Boston Red Sox 8-2 in the finale of their three-game set at Fenway Park.

The Yankees jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first and never trailed en route to their second straight win.

Oswaldo Cabrera and Gleyber Torres each had two RBI, while Alex Verdugo and Austin Wells finished with two runs scored apiece.

Carlos Rodon earned the win and moved to 11-and-7 after striking out seven and letting up two runs through six-and-a-third innings.

The Yankees sit second in the AL East at 62-and-45, one game behind the Orioles.

Rob Refsnyder and Connor Wong each hit a solo homer for Boston in the setback.

Tanner Houck was tagged with the loss on the mound.

The Red Sox have lost seven of nine to slip to 55-and-49.
Tonight the Red Sox host Seattle.
The Yankees will be in Philadelphia.
