A bit of history made by the Springfield Urban League.
The organization has named its first woman as President and CEO, Yvette Frisby.
Frisby is a veteran of the organization.
She says she will meet with political and community leaders to establish programs and procedures that will benefit the community.
Frisby says diversity and dealing with poverty are top issues she will tackle.
She succeeds long time former President and CEO Henry Thomas in the post.
