Housing Prices Continue To Rise In State And Region

Both single family home sales and median prices are up again in Massachusetts.

In Hampden County sales were down by one and a half percent, but sale prices shot up by seven percent to 336 thousand dollars.

Hampshire County, sales were down 10 percent.

Prices went up by 12 percent to 456 thousand dollars.

Statewide prices up to 650 thousand dollars.

The number of sales went up by about eight percent.

The experts say that the reason why housing prices are so high is because there is simply not enough supply to go around.
