School Committee To Decide Police Access To Security Cameras

When a Springfield School Sub Committee meets this Thursday, they will be asked to approve a Memo of Understanding allowing the police department access to video from security cameras in schools.

The M-O-A will also map out under what circumstances the cameras can be accessed.

It is something that has been worked on in one form or another for years.

After a potential positive vote from the sub committee, the full School Committee will decide the issue.
