Governor Maura Healey has filed a bill with the legislature that includes a series of new clean energy proposals.
Healey has included the clean energy measures in a 700-million-dollar bill that wraps up the 2024 fiscal year that ended June 30th.
Items in the new bill include expansion of natural gas and the state bottle redemption law, along with allowing third parties to sell electricity to state residents.
Legislative leaders are expected to call lawmakers back into formal session to pass the bill once the language is finalized.
