Toy maker Hasbro has been in talks with Governor Maura Healey's administration on a move from Rhode Island to Boston for months.
Pawtucket based Hasbro has been based in Rhode Island for over a century.
Hasbro officials have toured several buildings in Boston in recent months, with the goal of moving to a more modern space while attracting and retaining talent.
Hasbro employs over five thousand people worldwide, with around a thousand based in Rhode Island.
There has been little reaction to the latest news that the negotiations have been on-going for some time.
