Providence Police have released video from the body cameras of officers who stopped New England Patriots player Christian Barmore Tuesday morning.
Barmore took to social media after the traffic stop and accused police of being unprofessional and racist.
Police say Barmore had a belligerent attitude, and he was cited for operation of an unregistered vehicle, driving with expired registration and display of plate penalties.
Police Chief Oscar Perez says the officers acted in full compliance with protocols and state regulations and the department will continue to review the situation to ensure that proper procedures were followed.
The Patriots are conducting their own investigation and have made no public statements.
