The West Stockbridge man who donated the tree that will take center stage at Rockefeller Center next month is recovering from a stroke.

Earl Albert is receiving medical care and is still hoping to make the trip to New York City for the tree lighting ceremony.

Albert donated a 74-foot-tall Norway spruce that was planted by him and his late wife in 1967.

The Albert family is hoping for a "Christmas miracle" that will get him to the ceremony on December 4th.
