Western Massachusetts lawmakers are hoping the Biden Administration funds a plan for new lighting on I-91 before the president leaves office next month.

State Representative Carlos Gonzalez said the project would upgrade the lights on the highway between Springfield and Chicopee.

It has already received approval from Mass-DOT.

Gonzalez said funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure deal would allow the plan to move forward.
