A U-Mass Amherst student that was denied a ten-thousand-dollar prize for winning a contest at a basketball game last week will get his money after all.
The university's athletic department says it will pay Noah Lee the money he thought he was getting after he made a half-court shot at the Minutewomen's basketball game on Wednesday.
The company that sponsored the contest reportedly refused to pay Lee, claiming his foot was on the line.
In addition to the prize money, Lee also is getting a "host of additional U-Mass Athletics benefits."
