The Massachusetts Senate has released its version of a 425-million-dollar spending bill that seeks to reform the emergency shelter system.
The Senate bill is aligned with the House measure approved last week that would place limits on the length of shelter stays from nine months to six months.
It would also cap the number of families in emergency shelters at four thousand, down from the current 75 hundred.
The Senate is expected to vote on its version of the bill tomorrow.
