Springfield officials are responding to complaints from residents about the road conditions yesterday.
DPW Director Chris Cignoli said the freezing rain Sunday started right after crews finished clearing the roads from the previous snowfall.
Some residents say they were unable to leave their homes due to the poor conditions of side streets. Anyone still needing their street cleared is encouraged to call 311.
Meantime, there could be more snow on the way. But the latest models suggest that we may be able to escape most of the major accumulations.
