Four Democratic mayors of so-called sanctuary cities are scheduled to testify Wednesday before the House Oversight Committee.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu will speak at what's likely to be a combative hearing over immigration policy.
The GOP members are expected to criticize the mayors for a lack of cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
Mayor Adams may face less pushback since agreeing with the Trump administration in helping the feds capture undocumented migrants.
Adams' cooperation comes after the Trump administration has moved to drop corruption charges against him.
